About

From Feb 2024 all Developers and other organisations submitting planning applications in England must be able to demonstrate a net 10% gain in Biodiversity either via on-site design or by buying offsite biodiversity units from Landowners with a DEFRA registered Habitat Bank in England

Black Adder BNG has two primary avenues of business.

The first is selling offsite BNG (biodiversity net gain) units to developers, who have a requirement to satisfy their planning application requirements.

The second is as a joint venture partner working with land owners who want to benefit from the unique opportunity created by the introduction of the biodiversity net gain Government Legislation introduced in Feb 2024.

Black Adder will provide landowners with the expertise needed to exploit the opportunity in return for a share in the profits generated from the sale of BNG units assigned to their land from the DEFRA registration process.

Black Adder BNG Ltd (Trading as Black Adder BNG Habitat Bank) was established by Jon Nicholls & Adam Goodwin in Feb 2024, as an aggregator of BNG units.
